The pond in the Lazy Gator’s front yard is home to Callie the alligator. Having lived there for 10 years prior to the gift shop moving in, Callie was the inspiration for the store’s name and is perfectly at home in this pond under the oaks. Occasionally a customer catches a glimpse of the gator as it lazily swims from bank to bank before returning to its watery hole beneath the building.
